Title: System Administrator

Reports To: CTO

Position Summary:

The System Administrator is responsible for the deployment, management, and maintenance of servers, Active Directory (AD), storage, and various IT systems within the organization. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. The System Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Server Deployment:
    • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
    • Ensure proper hardware and software setup for server deployments.
    • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  2. Windows AD Management:
    • Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory services.
    • Create, modify, and delete user accounts, security groups, and organizational units.
    • Implement security policies and access controls.
  3. Storage Management:
    • Administer and monitor storage solutions, including SAN and NAS.
    • Allocate and expand storage resources as required.
    • Implement data backup and recovery strategies.
  4. Server Certification Management:
    • Manage SSL/TLS certificates for secure server communication.
    • Ensure timely renewal of certificates and troubleshoot certificate-related issues.
  5. User Management:
    • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
    • Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access-related requests.
    • Provide user training and support as needed.
  6. Network Traffic Monitoring:
    • Monitor network traffic and system performance to identify and resolve issues.
    • Implement network monitoring tools and perform regular traffic analysis.
    • Optimize network configurations for efficiency.
  7. Patching:
    • Apply software patches, updates, and security fixes to servers and systems.
    • Schedule and coordinate patching activities to minimize disruptions.
    • Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
  8. System Audit:
    • Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
    • Generate audit reports and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to address audit findings.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in system administration, server deployment, and Windows AD management.
  • Strong knowledge of storage solutions, network monitoring, and system auditing.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CompTIA Security+, ITIL) are advantageous.
